In The Beginning...

It all started with an ad from craigslist. I was fed up with living in the day to day grind of waking up and dreading the job I had, wishing I could discover a way to be free from it all. I would search the newspaper, monster.com, jobing.com, craigslist.org… I mean the list went on and on. The days were full of resumes, phone interviews and hope that I would get a job I probably didn’t want that paid enough so that the daily compromise could be justified by the financial “fruits of my labor.”

But I was kidding myself.

Then came the craigslist ad. It was direct if it was anything. Something to the effect of:

[ Real Estate Company needs assistant. Call Pete. ]

Half of my day had already been spent on emailing resumes to every ad posted, but for some reason, I decided to give that Pete guy a call. You could say… “ the rest is history.”

My boss, actually I have two of them, my bosses are two of the top Real Estate Investors in the country, not to mention two of the best guys you’ll ever meet. I fell bass-ackwards into one of the premiere positions in the country by answering a craigslist ad. Who knew? I surely didn’t.

Pete Skouras is a Real Estate Investor and Financial Engineer.  Just being in the room with him is worth paying for. It’s like being in an intensive collegiate course that doesn’t stop teaching you something you didn’t know yesterday.  And the cherry on top is that you can’t wait to go to school in the morning and don’t mind staying late to ask the professor some questions. Did I mention he’s also quite a cool dude? Well he is. From the beginning, he’s always told me that his goal is to make sure I am happy and financially free. How many of you can say that about your boss?

And then there is Preston, “Guru” Preston Ely. P is what I would call a dynamite personality with a golden heart and a true pursuit to improve his condition and the condition of mankind by using his public position to influence and better the lives of others by showing them the path to financial freedom.  Of course, I wasn’t aware of his fame when I first met him nor did he introduce himself as that guy. He is proof that financial freedom is not only possible but tangible for everyone.
